In our efforts to provide better solutions, Blue Chip has evolved over time.  From primarily a data and network provider for many years, we moved into the communications field about 5 years ago.  We believed that data and voice would soon converge.  In an effort to reduce costs and increase productivity we started to look at customer’s infrastructure in regards to data and voice.  So over time our customers would be able to take advantage of the growth of Voice services to run over the data network.

We took on a product – TeleVantage -- that fit this new concept.  Instead of the old proprietary phone system, this was a computerized system that integrated with email and Microsoft Exchange.  It was also capable of taking digital and analogue voice data and use them interchangeably.  It also had the advantage of allowing the phones to integrate with customer applications.   In its simplest form it was able to identify a caller and return information regarding the caller.

Today the possibilities are almost limitless.  Through voice recognition, the phone system can direct callers or look up information by just asking.  Customer service can be improved and company staff may be used more efficiently.
