SCO 5.0.6 Product Line Ending – Upgrade to 6 today!

Now that OpenServer 6 has been released, SCO wants to notify you of the end of its OpenServer 5.0.6 product line effective December 31, 2005. Additionally SCO announces the end of standard support for the product for those customers who have a direct support contract with SCO.  Blue Chip will continue to offer technical support for 5.0.6 but with a limited capacity.

Current OpenServer 5.0.6 customers are encouraged to consider upgrading to OpenServer 6. OpenServer 6 offers a wide range of new features as well as selective increases in the edition defaults for users, CPUs, and memory.

For existing customers who have a support contract directly with SCO, they will receive standard support through the expiration dates of their support contracts up to December 31, 2006. As mentioned, for those who do not have a support contract with SCO, Blue Chip will continue support but with limited capacity.  Therefore the time to upgrade to OpenServer 6 is now!

Any customer who upgrades to OpenServer 6 between now and October 31, 2005, Blue Chip will offer a 6 % savings off your labor costs for the upgrade.  So there is no better time to install “the most reliable operating system” – SCO OpenServer 6!
